Whoever devised Tortuga Bay had an extremely devious and twisted mind - I loved it!
I'm fairly sure I haven't done this event before, but enjoyed it a lot.

However, I've just got the last sextant, so I have to decide what to spend them on.

I have a choice of 280 energy each (total 25200), or 3200 experience each (total 288000). I'm no good at these strategy decisions - is one a much better choice than the other?

I see, like most many of us the equipment is way too low to bother looking at.
For me, i have a food stockpile over 32 million with constant cooking, i always go for the experience.
Getting to the next level and benefiting from the energy reward is always great.
I will hold on to mine until i get close to level and use them to level when i ready.

You could also save them and enough coconut to make the coconut treat during double production week
