cant continue the quest to save the pirates because all passages are blocked by double ghosts

I just had the same bug. After I walked up to talk to the orange cat the ghosts blocking the path disappeared.
Talked to the cats and the parrot, and everyone! Still cannot get through. 🙁

Try talking to the pirate on the right.
talked to the cat then start to move south, then they disappier ( use pc + portal )
