SEA OF TEARS: Not really "hidden* but there's an entrance to a Secret Caterpillar Garden while underground in the mouse's house.
WONDERLAND FOREST: Place gray boulders on light gray pebbles. This is on the screen once you're on the hidden path to the Dutches's House.
Hint: the yarn ball moves the trees out of your way...

ROAD TO MAD HATTER: Put pumpkins on the beige shells in the Western garden to open a Secret Caterpillar Garden.

Croquet Grounds
There's a door up/over to the left of the location's main entrance. It appears upon pushing the red potion/paint bottle to the top of the LEFT path; leading to another Caterpillar Garden with goodie chests🙂
HINT: pushing the bottle's main purpose is to reveal a lever for getting across the water.

QUEEN OF HEARTS COURT:

Put barrel next to King's food table.
Put beehive on honey machine.
Clean footprints w/ sponge.
Place black checkers on black squares (room 2) Gives coins, but more importantly, reveals a new door to go rescue the kids.
Place records on players according to the flower colors next to each. (These are in the reward room, opens after the children are freed.)

wonderland forest: how many gray boulders do I need? i found 2 light gray pebbles only while i see 3 gray boulders

You need all three grey boulders. The third light grey pebble area is covered by the rainbow ball when you move it right to make the tree move over to acces the top pathway.

[unknown] the sponge is used to clean the footprints. I got a bunch of points by moving it around wherever there was a spot on the floor in that room. There are several "spots," not just one!

How about challenge level 1? has anyone found anything in the first chessboard? I tried lining up the white pieces on the bottom two rows and the black on the top, but nothing happened.

Chani Actually, by replaying Alice in Wonderland this year, I've found hidden exp bonus in #1 Challenge. Concerning there are only pawns and 12 for each colour, it's not the Chess, but a Checkers board! When you line up the white pawns in 3 bottom rows on black tiles and the black pawns in 3 top rows on white tiles you get the exp bonus. Like on the screen shot.

[unknown] nothing to find on the chess boards. The 1st is just moving pieces to make a path. The 2nd is setting them for the start of a match (Queen on her color) to unlock the reward area. No secrets that I found.

In order to open the cells, you need to step on the four blocks at the bottom in the correct order.
