There is some combination of levers on the first island and the second island that will open a bridge to the left of first island. I was going crazy thinking I was never going to get off the first two bridges. Eventually when I changed the view on my phone a bit I noticed that the left bridge had already opened. Probably was opening all along but I wasn't seeing it.
Once you go west you have a lot of other possible levers to play with. I never figured out the pattern but eventually clicked them enough to get off those islands.
On the first screen of this location, one of the trailers had a sign in it that said "Bridge controls." I tried to make use of the combo but I couldn't make any sense of how to apply that set of numbers.
