Can not for the life of me, figure out how to get the wooden stakes down. I know I'm missing something.....

Cant find last candle.finished board, but not quest, is it where the stones and stakes are that i cant seem to get down to move stones in?

The stones and stakes are just obstacles. You don't need to put the stones on the yellow placeholders. You just need to get them out of the way to light the candles.
BTW, some of the columns in that room are secret tiles.
What does the Quests panel say? Does it think you missed a candle? or a plate piece?

Did you ever find the last candle? I only count 24 and I've cleared all the squares
