Acquiring Coins

Hello fellow diggers. I have always been stumped on how to acquire "coins" quickly and easily. I am level 111 and as I write this I sit at 11,452. I usually linger anywhere between 10,000-35,000. I see the "Golden Coins Pillar" in the shop for 1,000,000 coins and I cannot even FATHOM even accruing anywhere near that amount. Any advice how to up my coinage? Thanks in advance.

pixel_player6160198 I am myself at over 7,000,000 coins right now. But then I am in atlantis, you can't reach that amount in Egypt. Egypt does have some shortage of coins, but it's fine later in the game. So I would suggest just keep playing 🙂

My newest Egypt Diggy has recently entered the Hathor line & has over 409,000 coins. These were obtained mostly from doing Events & the Repeatables.

I just started China in my older game and have over 5,000,000 coins so I wouldn't worry too much about the ability to get them!
I collect a lot by doing the events and as many repeatable mines as possible. I still do the Cache & Treasury Mines to get the Exp. and some offer gems (birdie likes the shiny things🙂) Since I play on mainly in mobile but am considering the Pillar option on PC.
I'll keep hoarding the majority of them though for the later regions.

Like he said, it gets better as you go on, events are the best way to get them as well.
Myself, i'm over 10 million and about to go to Atlantis.
Lot's of spending for me soon.

I guess i'll slow down on the Scandinavia story and focusing on completing Egypt repeatables Cache, Feline Treasury, Tutankhamun's Treasury, and Stony Landslide as much as possible everyday.

pixel_player6160198 I suggest you better continue with the storyline. As you go up, you will stop noticing the shortage of coins. This way you'll be left with doing the repeatables for a long time.

Been a while I was in Scandinavia, don't remember when I stopped noticing the coin shortage but it was surely there in Egypt as far as I remember.

Alright thanks for the advice. I do repeatable mines daily... ones for materials such as lumber/stone to clear my camp and coal/cooking items and what not. Should I not be doing those everyday as well? Or just the ones I mentioned for the coins?

pixel_player6160198 If you fall short of the mentioned items, you should keep doing those, just not the coins in my opinion. I find myself doing the coal repeatable often even in Atlantis.

You can also get coins from Funny Money caravans: costs 100 to send and returns 90 to 150 coins after 2 hours. If you need sugar, flour or apples for making food, it may be better to send caravans for those, but when you don't, you might as well send caravans for coins. The returns appear to be evenly distributed between 90 and 150 so 1/6 of the time, you lose 1 to 10 coins but the rest of the time you earn between 0 and 50 coins. Sending 6 at a time, I've never seen a time where I lost coins across the 6.
