In the shop the old stories show how many stars we have on each event; I don't think mine is right!! How can it be fixed??

I truly do not understand your question. Can you explain further or provide a screenshot of what you believe is a discrepancy between the (experience?) stars?

The three gold stars represent the quest,achievements and treasure.

You must of missed one of those if you don't have 3 stars.

I've only done that event once.

Ohhh... I forgot you guys have stars across the top of the Events! Mobile symbols are different. So if you don't finish something, say the Treasure, then you'd only have 2 stars at the top of the Event?
In mobile, the 3 symbols are across the top of the Event once it's claimed, but all 3 start out silver, turning to gold as each is complete.

gamemaster Okay. The Events I checked all coincidentally have the same number of Stars as the times I've done them.

In the shop the three stars are there and like you said, they are silver if not played, still silver if they haven't achieved the gold star/s.
When the event is claimed we have no progress details like mobile until all the quests are finished, then it appears with the details.

I am re-playing an old story - Halloween 2014 to be specific - because I had 1 grey star and 2 gold. So now I'm at the last part of the Pumpkin Realm setting up to make a spell to break the spell on Father. Unfortunately, 2 of the rooms that house the pylons will not open. in order to break the spell I have to light the 4 candles then activate the 4 pylons. Every video I've watched all have all 4 rooms open when they arrive there so they are able to complete this quest. Any ideas will be gratefully received. Please and Thank-you.

Did a key word search & found this in another thread:
in pumpkin realm to get to the pylons, after lighting the 4 candles, go down to the area with the tree in the middle ( there is a red carpet above and below this room) go to the very far right and very far left and find a stone in the outside wall that leads to a little room with a lever in it to open the gate to the pylons at the top, there are 2 on each side.
