Mystical Sea Mermaids

I am stuck trying to release the mermaids from their cells. There are 4 stones (2 on each end) that I do not know what to do with. I have searched wiki, you tube, and this forum but have not been able to figure out how to release the mermaids. PLEASE someone HELP me.
