Why are there only 6 locations opened in the new event but 10 location spots?
pixel_player11452791 Locations open based on the Region you have gotten to. The higher the Region, then the more locations that will be open to you.
pixel_player11452791 in addition to what @Alex_Clover stated, the Red Ring Event is continual. Next time the Event comes back again, the game will remember what locations you had already opened & opens new ones if you have switched regions in the interim.
