pixel_player10465009 There are a few versions of Corn Storage, so it would have ben good of you to include a screenshot for those who haven't come upon the one that has the basketball in it.
Did you try moving the basketball to all the spots possible to move it? If you did then you would have gotten your answer, which is that nothing happens. It really isn't even an obstacle, as @gamemaster puts it, since you can go around it without having to move it to do so. Its only purpose is to act as a possible distraction.
