pixel_player54127631 For the Night Mode, what you need to work out is how long on average you intend to be away from your game, then set up the Camp in that Mode so you will fill to Capacity no sooner than that length of time, but also as close to that time as possible. So if you think you will be away for about 7 hours, then clear your Night Mode Camp of all Equipment and fill it up as much as you can with your Capacity Equipment, starting with the highest value ones and working down. Once you do that, fill any remaining slots with your Regeneration Equipment, starting with the highest value ones. Now look at your Energy Fill Bar to see how long it will fill when the Bar is empty. If it will take longer than 7 hours, then remove the lowest Capacity Equipment items and fill the slots with the next highest Regeneration Equipment items until it gets close to that 7 hours.
With the Day Mode, think about if you get interrupted during game play and how long you might be away from the game before getting back to it. Fill up the slots with as much of your Regeneration Equipment as possible, starting with the highest value ones. Fill any empty slots left with Capacity Equipment. If you won't be filling up faster than any small amount of time you might have to go away from the game, then leave it at that.
Also, remember if you are going to log out after switching it to Night Mode, then you should always do something after switching it but before logging out, like visiting a Mine or your Kitchen or someone's Camp. Doing something else will insure your Camp remains in Night Mode after you have logged out.
