Camp Slots

I have 8 unused slots but can’t seem to use them. I try to buys items to fill in those slots but don’t have the option to place it there; it’s like the shadow is there but not the actual item nor a check mark like on the 1st row of items. Please advise

🐦You have shelves that are either 2, 3, or 4 squares high. So when placing an item, you have to make sure you're not trying to put a 4 square high piece of equipment into a 2 or 3 square high shelf.

🐦In both the shop & your inventory, you can choose what equipment heights you wish to see.

🐦 If there's no empty spaces to accommodate the equipment height AND width, then it will try to replace what's there unless you cancel.

🐦You have to be mindful of the item width as well. If an item is an irregular shape, it may go into the next width square and replace an item that's next to it.

🐦If you don't like where a newly purchase item is trying to place itself, you have the option of changing shelves/slots before confirming:

Nope. No more slots. The 20% comes around periodically. Surprises me you never saw it. This is the 2nd time for my Egypt Diggy that I began in late September 2018.

I have been playing for a long time to fill my camp slot& have accumulated over 90000 energy ..this morning I have 200 energy& it says I have 126 slots empty how is this so& most the items I have already acquired are not available because I already got them NOT HAPPY where have all my items gone from my slots

pixel_player68849090 sounds like you bought the professor's switch system and forgot to finish setting it up. go into your backpack's equipment tab and all your existing equipment will be there for you to place. then click the tent-top icon in the corner to switch between day and night mode and make sure both are set up the way you want them.

I accidentally bought a 3high camp slot instead of 4, is there a way to sell it back rather than keep it?

I don't believe that would be possible...but I guess there would be no harm in contacting Pixel support & ask them.

Although I'm curious as to why you want to sell it back?

As the aim is to eventually clear out all levels of your underground camp.

Instead of selling it back perhaps you could try to gather more materials needed to clear the 4 high slot instead?

Happy-Haze Thanks for the reply, I'm still very new at this and didn't know the aim was to fill up / clear out all the levels. I only thought that it would be preferable to fill up the 4 for higher cap/reg. I'm going to keep it anyways as I've already filled it for cap.

You will need the 4 high for equipment that is 4 high if you get any of them later.
When you have the 4 high spaces you can put any equipment in them, the other levels with lesser heights you can only put stuff in them that are as high or lower.

Here is some other information that you may find to be of assistance to you.

As you progress in the game & move into new regions you need to strengthen the capacity & regeneration of your camp equipment.

If you haven't already bought it.....the Professor Switch System is a very good investment.

The quicker you can clear out all levels of your underground camp slots the better....but I would not suggest using gems to clear camp spots.

Grid Unlock Discount week comes around twice a year which gives a 20% reduction on the amount of materials needed to clear out camp slots....the next one should be due around April-May.

So it's a good idea to try to stockpile lumber, stone, bronze & iron in preparation for Grid Unlock Discount week.

Double Materials week also comes around twice a year which gives double materials on repeatable mines....the next one should be around January-February.

Double Materials week will be very helpful to provide more materials for Grid Unlock Discount week.

Double Production week also comes around twice a year which gives double the produced goods in your camp from the "Kitchen", "Foundry" & "Caravan".....the next one should be due around April-May.

This means that you get twice the food, speed potions (some old shop events), metal bars & caravan products for the same price as usual.

While there are older stories available in the shop to buy for 100 gems it's a great idea to do some of them to gain stronger capacity & regeneration camp equipment especially from the non-segmented stories.

I have produced some spreadsheets of the camp equipment available from each of the older stories available to purchase in the shop (for both 100 & 500 gems) posted in this forum thread that you may find to be of assistance.

You can buy these older stories multiple times to be able to get all the strongest camp equipment pieces available in each story....just remembered to check that you are at the required game level to access the camp equipment you are wanting.

Some of the older stories even give back more than 100 gems on the 1st play through.....there is a very useful table on this wiki page that shows how many gems can be gained from the older stories available to purchase for 100 gems.

Happy-Haze WOW! That is a lot of information!! LOL. I am still a bit lost on the jargon of the great DA. When someone says "clear out" all levels, does that mean buy & fill all levels? Does "Pillar" mean a level? What does "cart" mean?
I've got PSS already and have put some things in it so all the slots are full but I'm not sure that I have the right mix. Being that I am new still (lvl 53) I don't think I've got the hang of it yet. As with the jargon it confuses me what it is I should be concentrating on. I am now only trying to get 4 high first and then will worry about filling in the 3, etc.
Is that a good idea?
Also, is reading the downloadable Ebook worth it or is that just some entertaining "fun" reading?

Glad to be of assistance where I can.

To be able to clear out your underground camp slots means that you need the necessary amount of materials required in your inventory.

This wiki page has a table showing how much materials is needed to clear out each camp slot.

Just as you have already started to clear out your 4 height slots....you just keep going until eventually all slots are cleared out in all rows of your camp.

You will see that there is 2 rows of each height (2,3 & 4) slots in your camp.

You can gain more of the materials (lumber, stone, iron ore, tin, coal & copper) required to clear out camp slots by doing the repeatable mines in the "Material Map"....as you progress through the game more locations will become unlocked in there.

You make iron & bronze in your "Foundry". To make iron you need iron ore, lumber & coal. To make bronze you need copper, tin & coal.

The Professor Switch System is designed as follows:

Daytime setting is used to make your camp to be higher in regeneration which is the setting you use for when you are actively playing.
Nighttime setting is used to make your camp to be higher in capacity which is the setting you use for when you are going to be away such as when you are sleeping/working.
You can tweak & change the camp equipment in your 2 camp settings at any time depending on what you need.

There are different types of carts available in each region.

Carts are a piece of capacity camp equipment that are usually some of the highest capacity available in each region.

I personally would never spend green gems to buy food/energy items.

Green rings are another very useful item...in particular they are very useful during Double Materials week as they are used in the repeatable mine "Chambers Of Fortune".
