Why is the amount of energy so high for each block? I can see upping it by a little bit but some of these are extremely high. I can not buy energy so I am only getting to do one or 2 blocks every so often. I am making as much food as I can but its not helping much.

pixel_player15434706 It would be nice to know what level you are at, what Region you are in the Main Game, how many slots you have cleared in your Camp to fill with Equipment and such. Some of the blocks are going to be rather high because that is the nature of a Challenge Area, otherwise it wouldn't be much of a challenge. But there are ways to improve the amount of energy you have available to face that challenge.

pixel_player15434706 BTW About 100 of the tiles in the Challenge Area are those Experience Chests which cost nothing to break, then at least a couple hundred consist of tiles valued at less than 150, those being the ones with Glasses, Food and containers of Materials. You are left with 500 or less tiles that have any substantial value. If you started the Special Event when it came out a couple of days ago, then you still have 12 days to complete it. That's about 66 tiles a day if all you are left with is the Challenge Area, and only 40 of those would amount to much of anything to tackle. Besides, if you look at the Wiki site, then you will see that the total amount to do all of the other Mines is about 45% of what it will take to do the Challenge Area. So if you completed the rest in two days, then you should be able to finish the Challenge Area in five, leaving you with at least a week to rest.

Alex_Clover I am on level 45 and i am still in Egypt. I am doing the best i can to get the wood to open more area up in the camp. Thank you for your answer

Hmmm, I imagine that the majority of folks are aware that there is X amount of time to complete an event, but human nature (in the main) is to try and complete asap.....

For the record, I'm currently in China at level 213; 214 tomorrow for sure.

I have observed some of the arguments against segmented events and what it used to be prior (I think that's the right way round).... Personally, I've not had any issue with the events, but I am drawn to state my observations of the current 'Mitchcock's Challenge' whereby a fair few number of tiles are 4800 or is it 4500??? Regardless, there are quite a number of high-value tiles, but with only 1 tile to go, I have to say that I'm disappointed with the 'returns'. Ok, I will acknowledge that the experience chests have given 2500 experience all the way thru, but at no point have they been 1,2 or 3* as on previous events... something I usually look forward to.....

pixel_player15434706 I am 179 and towards the end of Scandinavia. I remember being where you are at and how it seemed rather difficult at times when dealing with the Special Events. One nice thing for you, though, is they are now Segmented, meaning they are designed for the Region you are currently playing in. When I started this game about a year and a half ago all the Special Events had the same tiles and Rewards for all the players, so trying to get through a Challenge Area was nearly impossible for me as it was much more demanding of energy. I did start looking at my Camp Equipment and the different ways I could gain and store energy, and tried to spend what Coins, Gems and Special Event Items I gathered in the best way possible, even if it meant having to wait a bit at times to get something better rather than taking what I could get at the time. Part of the game is about strategy, so doing a little research at the Wiki site will help a lot to familiarise yourself with the various aspects of the game.

I am at level 276 and in Greece...for this challenge those who are in Greece have blocks that are valued from 2100 up to 15750! I will not be doing this challenge! The sad part is that i only have to collect 6 more 3D glasses to finish the achievements from this event. It is not worth spending all that energy ...my energy capacity right now is set at 94,499 which takes right around 15 hours to fill, and in Greece can be depleted in less than 20 minutes!!

pixel_player88770263 I feel for you but I fail to see why your predicament is as dire as you make it out to be. Why does your Capacity need to be set so high when the highest value tile you come upon is less than 16000? Right now during gameplay my Energy Regeneration is set close to 13000 per hour. I am still in Scandinavia and have 9 slots to clear in my camp, which means I currently don't have access to my full potential and I have access to much lower value Camp Equipment than you, yet I am regenerating energy at twice the amount you are when I am playing the game. So I don't understand why you don't (or at least give the impression you don't) have your camp set up more efficiently to tackle those high value tiles when you come across them.

the regenerations rate i gave is my overnight mode. when i am actively playing the game i have it set for a much lower level (27950) that takes 1-1/2 hours to fill...the point that i was making is that there is really no need for the developers to make such high energy tiles! I dont know about you, but i would like to play for more than 20 minutes at a time

pixel_player88770263 I understand the complaint about the high value tiles, but I still don't understand your setup. Why do you have so much capacity when actively playing the game? You could regenerate a lot faster if you cut that down to a third or less of what you currently have it at. And yes, I know you said tiles can get upwards of 15750, but that is the upper limit, so not commonly happening, so it wouldn't matter if your capacity was set below 15750 as that is what food stores could be used for,
