Jumanji - blocked by fires/ cats

I'm stuck already in the first room - I can't find the entrance to the basement. All three exits are blocked - two by cats and one by fire.

Never mind - I forgot about the entry way. Cat let me in there.

I'm stuck please help , ive cleared all areas and connected the pipes in the basement . It says close basement doors , no idea how to . Also cats are blocking the way to a room . Where do you turn on sprinklers

pixel_player21932232 Did you turn the handle after putting the pipes together? In terms of the basement door closing, while I walked back to the door after leaving the basement, I don't know that it did anything. Think the sign as there for 2 reasons:
1. Indicate where basement door is
2. Mess with us. The developers throw in funny things to keep us guessing.

The cats will move after other task complete.

Additionally, if you scroll through previous posts or even other threads, often the very answers you seek may have been already posted. That way, you're not left hanging and can dig away😊

Please help !!!!
I asked for help from the tech department and they said that I just need to go down the stairs and go through the door to the basement. I have done that and the danm cat 🐈 is still there. I am getting very frustrated. TIA

It helps if you provide the location name. I'm going to guess that this is Judith and Pete's house, but you haven't said which cat/which room.

To put out the fires, go down to the basement. Fix the pipes. Turn the valve.
Go into the parent's bedroom. NW part of house.
6 spiders appear.
Go to the center hall up the stairs on the right to the pink bedroom. Collect the bug spray.
Return to parent's room. Spray all 6 spiders.
Girl throws dice. Robin appears. Black cat disappears. Orange cat moves to block the right stairway. Left bedroom opens.
Game goes into left bedroom. Someone rolls dice. Lion appears.
From left bedroom, take doorway on East wall. Lion follows. Take stairwell on East wall to the attic.
Go to room on bottom right. Pick up the scissors, then go through doorway to North room.
In that room, orange cat now blocks North exit.
Take the scissors and get rid of all the evil plants.
Orange cat disappears when last evil plant is gone.
Head into North room. Girl rolls. Something bad happens. (I'll leave the surprise out.)
Quest ends.

Basement door is in the dining room below the table the kids are playing on. Not blocked by the cat, who's sitting between the winding stair cases. Even has a sign marked BASEMENT. You'll need to clear the tiles so you can go around the left side of the table, bypassing the fire & chairs.
