Stones... is it just me...

So here I am in some of the 2017 Valentine Day challenges and I desperately need stones in order to build out my camp. At one time I was a 'lumber whore'. But then Diggy's Adventure designers in their wisdom flipped the camp script and made stones more important.

So I solve these challenges and get to the "hoard of treasure" but is there a pile of stones to be won. Nope but oh boy I can have rice and ancient scrap metal -- though I am in Scandi but am planning to race to get to China. I can get a whole bunch of iron ore -- which I cannot use because there is no sense in lighting my forge fires and my sack of iron ore is worth paltry capacity. (unlike my sack with tin which I would love to have -- and there was some tin provided [though not much] -- but alas I can only get a sack of tin by purchasing it with gems...).

But no stones to be found. Guess I can repeat -- oh joy of joys -- the repeatable locations. But a waste of time and energy.

One would think that the most valuable commodity -- other than cupid arrows -- for those of us in Scandi would be in the treasure hoards after the challenge quests are completed. Silly me for thinking it would be so.

Did you look in the wiki link?
It says challenge 5 has 5694 stones.
Stones were as important as wood.
Still, i get so much more wood that i dont need compared to the little amount of stone usually.
Do you know that you need quite alot of iron and bronze to clear out the grid?

All those sacks for capacity are useless, most these events the equipment is useless and like you im only in Scandinavia.
These 2 events have no equipment i can use thanks to stupid region locking instead of levels.
Passed on both the last god packs and the ones for these events.

See I do not receive God Packs in my game version either.

I did not yet look in the Wiki Link but am about to step into Challenge 5. I will be pleasantly surprised if Challenge 5 does indeed have 5,694 Stones which I seriously doubt in my version of the game.

And for me I need no iron to clear out the camp grid. And the bronze I do need I do not have to fire up my forge for as I have enough from the game levels and Special events.

So my Forge remains idle. But at least I appreciate yours and Pixel's response for in other versions of the Game there is value in the Forge. So hearing this makes me feel better.

As gamemaster wrote, stones can be found aplenty in Challenge 5. Be warned, though. Each tile for the stones costs 2000 energy. That doesn't vary, but the number of stones you get per tile will, from the low 80s to the low 90s. That would make around 65 stone tiles to be found in Challenge 5, which seems about right. it also makes it about 130,000 units of energy you will be using up on just digging up the stone tiles, which leaves every stone you get from that costing about 23 units of energy each.

Well spending 23 units of energy on stones in Challenge 5 is better than what I have been investing in both the game in Scandi as well as in the Special Events for very little stone return. Other than the Repeatable levels which I utilized when we had "double materials" for a week earlier in Feb.

One would think if the game is going to change the "material cost" to clear out one's camp grid then they would make these materials readily available as one plays through the game.

As I mentioned in another post right now I am just stockpiling materials as I have no use for them. Cannot buy anything of value in the shop unless it is a special event and I am finding whatever the special item is.

Lumber - 15,377 (even though I need almost as much lumber 2,580 as stones 2,800 to clear camp grids I have a plethora of lumber. Hence my diatribe why does the game provide so much lumber but so few stones.)
Coal - 1,546 (this I would be depleted on if I ever needed to run my forge; so it would become like stone for clearing the camp grid)
Stone - 1,747 (already found 1,000+ in Challenge 5 and growing)
Iron Ore - 4,700 (no use for)
Copper - 8,358 (spent a wasteful 900 item for a copper bag just because)
Tin - 7,293 (would be nice to invest in a tin bag but that is only purchased by gems)
Bronze - 300
Iron - 670

One would have thought in the game at this point I would be putting the materials to use and spend time working towards something other than 'smashing tiles' in levels. Put the game down to gain more energy. Repeat.

You do know there are crowns you can purchase with those "useless" materials you obtain, don't you? You have enough lumber there to buy a Wooden Crown, which will net you 255,000 experience points. You can sell it afterwards for some coins, though I'm not certain how much you would get for that.

Alex_Clover Unfortunately in my game I cannot buy a Crown. Wooden or otherwise. There is just no option to do so. Otherwise I would be more than happy to do so.

Alex_Clover Appreciate the advice. Discovered Crowns are not available in the mobile game. Only on the computer version but I can log in there and buy/produce them.
