No, there is no specific story mine that corresponds to this quest.

This is a long-term quest that will complete when you finish the entire Ptah quest line AND finish a deciphering activity that comes up afterwards.

Just continue completing the quests from the Priest of Ptah and other characters in Luxor, and later from Ptah himself in the Temple of Ptah.

I’m stuck but I haven’t even gotten to Ptah yet, so how did I even get this quest? It has to be a mistake. Can the power to be unstick my game???

It's not a mistake, and it is not the problem. Ptah's curse is a VERY VERY LONG TERM quest that you can just ignore. Ptah is the 8th god in the main Egypt quest line, and when you finish his quest line, the curse will clear.

There may be a different quest that is incomplete. Check your Quests panel. In Egypt, sometimes the hold-up is something you don't expect like make an apple pie and fried mushrooms for the guard, or make Milk in the kitchen for Mrs. Bunefer.

The other possibility is that a quest giver was missed. Since we don't know the last quest location you completed in a god line (not a side quest, and not a Father quest), you can find quest giver and activity information here:

Find the last location from a god quest line that you worked on in Column 5.
Then look for the quest giver and their location in Column 3.
Then in the next row, find the quest giver and their location for the NEXT location.
Those are the two characters you need to try to talk to.

Wow it really is a very very VERY long term . I kept doing other tasks as I thought I was stuck. But after six months I finally cracked it. After you have completed Maahes you end up back in Patah again. Blimey.did is though.

I do not have any quest except Dead Man Talking, and it says to finish all quest giving by Pitah or his priest. However they are not giving me any . Could you help me please?

If your quests have stopped, please tell us the name of the last location or quest of a god that you worked on (not Father and not Sidequest). Then we would look it up in the Wiki Quest page (link I posted above) to try to figure out which quest giver might have been missed.

You can try going to the temple of the current god, the town of Luxor, or camp. Sometimes you need to talk to somebody in the god location that you just worked on.

Please help as i can see many have been stuck on Dead man talking and lifting the curse of ptahs curse. I also have revisited the area and completed all the tasks with ticks on all areas but still the curse hasnt lifted and no-one else to talk to

Also the God's temple you are up to?

I have just revisited all the Gods from all the levels and nothing has happend and also no one to talk to in Town Luxor. I had thought is was because I had not completed all the levels so went back to all towns and they are all ticked as completed.

Dead Man Talking is just another LONG long-term quest that will not end until you complete the entire quest line of Ptah - the eighth god in Egypt. You can just IGNORE that quest. It will eventually resolve itself. It is not the cause of any issue you are experiencing.

But, reading between the lines, it sounds like probably you are not getting new quests from the main god line. Sometimes it is simply that a quest giver was missed. Quest givers can usually be found in Luxor, or in the Temple of the god, or in the last mine of a god that you were in, or in Camp. Or sometimes the problem is that part of a quest is incomplete, like making milk, apple pies, or mushrooms in the kitchen, or giving a character lumber, tin, or coal. Check your Quest panel to see if there is something you need to do to finish a quest.

If we knew your last quest (or location) for a god, we would find that location in the Wiki Egypt Quests page (link below), and look at the quest givers for that location and the next location. Those are the characters you should try to talk to. We would also check for any activities that could be the cause of the problem, like a quest giver expecting the gifts I described above.

Well, that's in the ballpark. It's somewhat useful if you are clearing all locations, so I'll go with that assumption.

That puts you somewhere in the vicinity of the Maahes quests shown below. So typically when quests stop, it's either:

A quest giver was missed
A 'gift' still needs to be given (apples, coins, lumber, etc.). If you have the item it will be taken automatically.

I suspect you might need to visit the teacher as I just came through those mines, and the teacher was hard to spot when he was the next quest giver.

In column 5, look for the last location you worked on. Find the quest giver in Column 3 of that row, and the quest giver in the next row. Those are the characters that you should try to talk to. They are all in Luxor.

Right in the middle of the image below, the Priest of Maahes has you running all over looking for someone who might know where a plate piece is. One of those characters could have been easily missed as well.

@Filip.Pixel#282845 I've been doing the special events because I'm stuck on this quest. I don't know if it's frozen, broke, or if there's something I just haven't done yet.
Of the 3 items to complete, finding the journal piece is done, but not sure where to go now. Rusty has nothing to say yet, and there are not any available areas open in maps.

Ignore the Dead Man Talking quest. It is not what is making you stuck. That quest will resolve itself when you finish the last location of Ptah (Chamber of Rebirth).

You can write in your native language. Most likely your god quests have stopped. Let us know what the last story location of an Egypt god that you worked on (not Father, not side quest).

Is Rusty in your Main Camp?

Have you tried leaving your Main Camp, speaking to other characters in your Main Camp & then coming back to Rusty?

If you have another game scene/mine open perhaps go break a couple of tiles in there & then come back to Rusty.

Have you tried completely shutting down your game & restarting it..... fully closing down....not just swiping into the background?

Tried clear your cache, cookies, history, etc?

If you have your player ID number & game progress registered with either your email address or Facebook account....try uninstalling & re-installing your game.

If you are having issues finding a new quest.....try the following:

Return to your main camp to see if there is a character there you need to speak to.
Return to the City Of Luxor to see if there is a character there you need to speak to.
Return to the Temple of the last God you were working on to see if they you need to speak to.
Return to the last game scene/mine you were working on to see if there is a character there you need to speak to or a job/task you need to complete.
Do you need to give or make something to a character such as food, materials or other items.
