From what I read (Check out the Wiki from within Diggy's Adventure) plus what I got from other users it matters a lot what you play on. I was having the same issue when playing on an Android device. I switched over to my laptop and amazingly a lot of the stuff I was having issues with, like the Camp Switch, became usable. I would love to add friends outside of Facebook but haven't yet figured that out, so I am off to the Wiki again to see if there is a way to do so without having to utilize Facebook.
