Thanks for the tip, however, I have no sofas or anything else where socks appear, The only rooms I can get into are the ones where the electrical boxes have to be swapped to stop the beam. Now that is where the king is standing and there is a red "fog" above him that I cannot get into. When I click anywhere in that area, it says "can't get there". I have looked all over for hidden areas to break and found nothing except for the refrigerator.
In the main entrance with the red carpet, where you are, there are two pairs of socks to pick up. One pair is on a couch along the left wall, the other pair is on a couch in the lower right corner. The socks are dull green in color and do not stand out. Here's a screenshot pointing out the way to get to four rooms on the left. http://prntscr.com/b2vj0r There are two pairs of socks in one of the rooms and one pair in another room. Like the screenshot shows, there is also a passage just like it to get to four rooms on the right side. On the right side, the top room has two pairs of socks in it, and one pair in each of the three other rooms.
OMG, I am such an idiot. I thought the rooms I was in was the entire thing. I thought the exit was an exit to the map and not to a previous room. DUH!!! Thanks for putting up with my stupid butt.
Don't consider yourself a stupid butt, everyone gets confused and lost in this game occasionally. I'm happy to have people here, to post questions that I can answer while waiting for my game to refill. Besides, there is no such thing as a stupid question!
